All the World's a restaurant.....

Here's some of my restaurant reviews that I've been promising!

1) SongBirds Mt Tambourine- So the other weekend we went on a leisurely drive to Mt Tamborine and finally ate at "Songbird's" restaurant. It was such a sensual experience amongst the backdrop of the rainforest.  Not only can you walk around the gardens  but the produce is grown on site, which adds to the freshness and quality of the food. We had a few Spanish Reds to soak up the ambience and chose a variety of tasting plates (smaller portions) so that we could taste a myriad of dishes. It was delectable with an abundance of textures and beautiful presentation. We savoured every mouthful and discussed all the flavours! I think the pictures say it all! I recommend heading up there for a weekend and enjoying the wineries ("Witches Fall") , cheese tasting and lovely cabins!
Steamed Swordfish: Brioche + hazelnut + truffle crumbs, king crab  ravioli, fresh garden peas, ginger and pea cream - the froth was fluffy and sweet! The peas were sweet and crunchy- one would eat peas everyday like this.

Master Stock Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek: Jamon croquette, garden baby  vegetables, jungle curry- everything melted in our mouths and the curry taste had a creamy flavour that had a hint of spice that was not overpowering.

Did have an oyster plate which we ate with such relish that we forgot to take a photo- oops!
Did I mention we also had homemade bread and butter?
